Candle Care

Every Love Square One candle is poured with intention, and a little care goes a long way toward getting the best burn.

Wick trimming

Trim your wooden wick to 1/8 inch before every burn. Keeping it short helps maintain a steady flame.

First burn

On the first burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar before extinguishing to help prevent tunneling. Do not burn for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time.

Burn time

Burn for no more than 3 to 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool and harden before relighting.

Placement

Keep candles away from drafts, open windows, and air vents. Burn on a heat safe surface and never leave a lit candle unattended.

When to stop

Stop burning when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains. Burning below this level can cause the jar to overheat.

Repurpose your jar

Once your candle is finished, allow the jar to cool completely. Remove remaining wax, wash with warm soapy water, and dry thoroughly before reusing it.

What Goes Into Our Candles

We use a vegan coconut soy wax blend, wooden wicks, and carefully selected fragrance oils. Each scent and vessel is chosen with care.

Room Sprays and Reed Diffusers

Store away from direct sunlight and heat. For reed diffusers, flip the reeds every few days for a stronger scent. Spray room sprays into the air in short bursts. Avoid direct contact with fabrics and finished surfaces unless the specific product directions say otherwise.

Wax Melts

Use a wax warmer according to its manufacturer’s directions. Never leave a warmer unattended. Replace the wax when the scent fades.

Standard shipping is free on U.S. orders of $75 or more. Orders under $75 ship for a flat rate of $4.95. Most orders ship within 2 to 5 business days. Custom and personalized orders may require additional time.
